This artwork depicts athletes giving their all: a sprinter dashing through the avenue of ginkgo trees, a rugby player aiming for a try in the distance, and a wheelchair racer pushing forward with determination. It visualizes the Meiji Jingu Gaien becoming a “Dynamic Forest” as people from around the world gather there, seeking the excitement of sports and erupting in joy.
Mr. Yamashita states: “I created the composition for this stained glass aiming for a sensation where the viewer feels as if they are being drawn into the world of sports. I hope it will exist as an art piece that invites visitors to experience the true emotion of sports and continues to be cherished for a long time.”
