Born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1928. After visiting various districts in Mexico, based in Japan, he taught at Tokyo University of the Arts and Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts, and energetically developed public art (mural, stained glass, etc) production activities. In his works with unique modeling nuances and sophisticated color senses, even familiar motifs give us surprising and fresh impressions. In addition, he also left a number of achievements as a modeling and production specialist for public art, "translating" original paintings by other authors into murals and so on. Production Notes
The stained glass is installed on the front wall of the chapel. As the title suggests, based on colors that evoke nature such as blue and green, it expresses gentle currents swaying in the wind and morning dew glistening in the morning sun. A Mass in this space even creates the illusion of taking place inside a forest. The tabernacle placed at the front was also created by Louis Fransen, using a cast aluminum body combined with white glass (a stained glass material known as prisma).
In addition, stained glass artworks are installed on both sides of the entrance and doors. Designed to resemble a woven bamboo frame peeking out from inside an earthen wall, they elegantly express a Japanese motif.
