Born in 1895. Aspiring for a new sense of Japanese-style painting, created originality that had not been there in the past Japanese-style paintings in color and composition. Based on the belief of "All things are Buddha", painted familiar things and was at the highest peak of contemporary female painters. Received the Order of Culture in 1980.
