Production Notes
This artwork is a ceramic relief, created by recreating original paintings stored in the atelier of the late AMATSU Kei, an artist associated with Nagoya City.
Motifs such as the sun and cityscapes, seen in Amatsu’s works, praised as the “Magician of Color,” are depicted in dynamic color schemes based on reds and yellows. Furthermore, by combining “fish” swimming in the open sea spreading from Kinjo Pier in Nagoya Port and “birds” symbolizing the tidal flats, a stopover point for migratory birds, the energetic development of Kinjo Pier toward the future is expressed.
