Production Notes

This mural shows the happiness of living in Echizen.
It was produced with praying that the abundant “products (hapiness) in mountains” and “products (hapiness) in the sea” in Fukui, which is a histric site blessed with great nature from ancient times, will be conveyed to future generations.
From this mural art which made use of the vivid lacquer colors, the fundamental life’s fun and brightness can be felt. Nature and life nurtured from ancient times in the land of Fukui is expressed with young leaves color and lacquer vermillion. It will diffuse a rich aroma in this place and will welcome people coming to this station warmly for a long years.
Particularly Echizen’s clay, lacquer, and clean water at the mountains that have been cultivated in Fukui area was used to make the work, hoping that the city will develop together with local people around the new station building.
